Queen's Nails Annex teamed up with the SFMOMA and
The Mission Arts & Performance Project (MAPP) to promote Tony Labat's I WANT YOU
project debuting September at the SFMOMA. Tony and Frida Kahlo drove around town in a convertible
Rolls Royce and passed out propaganda regarding his piece:
"What if you could be the finger pointing Uncle Sam? How would you fill in the blank?
I Want You...to do what? Tony Labat invites you to make your own demands of the public.
Fifty contestants chosen from auditions held on September 4 will deliver one-minute
monologues before an audience that will select five winners. Each winner will appear on a
poster to be put up around the city. Participants will be featured in Tony Labat's new video
project, I WANT YOU, screening at SFMOMA in November."
Choose the Winners on Thursday, September 11. Join a live audience to watch fifty
select performances and vote for your favorite five.
