FROM THE DIRECTORS
WE ARE PROUD TO ANNOUNCE THE EXPANSION OF QUEEN'S NAILS ANNEX INTO THREE NEW AND DISTINCT PROJECTS
1) After five years of experimentation, Queen's Nails Annex will transform from an exhibition space into a web-based, historical archive of previous shows. It is our goal to keep the website current with artist updates, photos and reviews. We invite the community to submit any documentation or information they may have from our previous projects. Queen's Nails Records will continue as an active label on www.queensnailsannex.com. Please feel free to contact Brian Storts for more info.
2) Queen's Nails Projects, under the direction of Mike Bianco and Julio Cesar Morales, will now operate as the exhibition project at 3191 Mission Street in San Francisco. Q.N.P. will serve as a platform for both emerging and established artists to experiment with new forms of art practice. For more information please visit www.queensnailsprojects.com or queensnailsprojects@gmail.com.
3) Brian Storts, along with Daniel Pelt, is developing The Orchard Project, an artist's retreat located on 100 acres of avocado and citrus orchards 60 miles north of Los Angeles. The Orchard Project is designed for artists, curators, musicians, and writers to escape the rigors of studio life to gain a critical distance from their work, their jobs, and the world at large. Taped interviews and transcripts as well as visual documentation highlighting each guest's body of work will be posted on www.orchardprojects.com. Currently, participation in The Orchard Project is by invitation only. For questions about the program, please contact brianstorts@gmail.com.
While The Orchard Project and Queen's Nails Projects will be directed autonomously from one another, all three directors look forward to a continued dialogue through their mutual ambitions.
And finally, we are honored to have had the opportunity to collaborate with those artists whose vision and creativity were essential in the success of Q.N.A. We would also like to thank the following unsung heroes who tirelessly gave their time, support and particular expertise necessary in keeping the project alive:
Paul Allan, Peter Colon, Paul Costuros, Stoyan Dabov, Rochelle Durst, Andre Eamiello, Rebecca Kopp, Hana Lee, Pam Martin, Sarah McMenimen, Daniel Pelt, Tomo Saito, Chika Sato, Kelly Seldan, Case Simmons, and Allison Terbush.
Our deepest gratitude goes out to every patron who visited, critiqued, or interacted with the space.
Thank You All.

Julio Cesar Morales, Co-Founder, Co-Director
